This year’s Rose of Syracuse, Brenna Dillon is a senior at SUNY Brockport majoring in Dance and minoring in Communication Studies. Brenna has been a part
of the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade from a young age. She first attended the parade with her father, Tom Dillon, and rode along in the golf carts. Eventually, Brenna became a parade marshal to help move our parade down Nancy Duffy Lane. Brenna has been a part of the Irish community since birth, from working on the parade, to spending time on Tipp Hill, to learning about her Irish heritage.
Upon graduation in May, Brenna hopes to continue in her pursuit of the arts, either through dance or perhaps on the administrative side. It is Brenna’s hope that soon she’ll travel to Ireland to experience everything Irish.
Brenna will be joined in the parade by the Rosebuds of Syracuse, young girls who participate in a non-competitive program and accompany the Rose throughout the day. We’re excited to have our city represented by such a great contingent of Roses. Congratulations, Brenna!
