We are pleased to announce our 2017 Rose of Syracuse, Meghan Dillon. Meghan will represent the Irish community in the 35th St. Patrick’s Parade on March 11th and at several other St. Patrick’s Parade events.

Meghan was born and raised in Syracuse. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Arts Administration at Le Moyne College and hopes to continue her education in law school to study entertainment law. Theatre arts are a lifelong passion of Meghan’s, along with golfing, writing, reading and celebrating her Irish heritage. Meghan’s family has deep ties to the Irish community here, starting with her great-grandparents who emigrated from County Tipperary to Syracuse in the 1920s.

In addition to pursuing her degree, Meghan volunteers in the community. She is a member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary Board, through which she has worked on many projects to benefit the hospital, including the board’s annual wine tasting and annual luncheon.

Congratulations to Meghan, the Rosebuds (younger Roses who accompany Meghan through her responsibilities) and all applicants! It is an honor to have you join us to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Parade and our Central New York community.
