UPDATE 3/12/20: This is a rapidly evolving situation, and out of concern for the safety of our community and in consultation with the Onondaga County Executive and local health officials, we have made the difficult decision to indefinitely postpone this year’s Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade. The parade had been planned for this Saturday, March 14th. All associated events such as the Green Stripe Painting, Mayor’s Reception, Grand Marshal Gala, Parade Day Mass and all parade-related events at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown have also been postponed indefinitely. (Other Masses have not been canceled.) We will share additional information as it becomes available.

The Committee would like to thank the many sponsors, participants, and local partners who every year make the Syracuse parade one of the best in the country. We are deeply disappointed not to march with you this weekend. We look forward to celebrating in the future, and in the meantime wish everyone good health and Irish blessings.

Post 3/10/20: The safety of our community is our first priority, and we understand that many people are concerned about the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. We are monitoring this developing situation and have not been advised to modify parade plans by government or health officials. We are proceeding with the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade as originally planned on this Saturday, March 14th. If you have any special concerns for yourself or family members, please enjoy the parade from home on NewsChannel9 or localsyr.com.
