Emily Cook, 2018 Rose of Syracuse, at the Cliffs of Moher

Emily Cook has been named the 2018 Rose of Syracuse! She will be accompanied in the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Parade by 10 Rosebuds.

Emily was born on St. Patrick’s Day and grew up in Syracuse. She graduated from West Genesee High School in 2014 and is currently a senior at Le Moyne College, where she studies Human Resources Management with a minor in Arts Administration.

Emily loves Syracuse and is passionate about community involvement. At Le Moyne, she has been involved as a Career Services Advisor, Student Ambassador and the e-board of HR Ascent. Beyond her college, she’s active in local arts including the Skaneateles Festival.

Emily was many passions including golfing, reading and spending time with her family. She is particularly invested in promoting everything the Syracuse region has to offer: the Adirondacks, beautiful state parks and great museums and restaurants. Upon graduating in May, she plans to remain in the region to give back to the community that has “given [her] so much.”

The Parade Committee is excited to have Emily Cook represent Syracuse in this year’s parade! Thank you to all of our excellent applicants, judges and organizing committee.
